Job Title 3D Team Lead

Job Description A well established developer of online games is currently looking for a highly creative, enthusiastic lead artist to join its rapidly expanding team. This role is to support the department in the creation of models and art assets for a highly respected game, leading a team of modellers working on large projects.

Responsibilities include:
• Establishing and maintaining artistic consistency and style
• Positive coaching, performance and personal development management
• Reviewing and improving processes
• Implementing new initiatives/procedures and communicating with other departments to ensure all requirements are considered during the development process
• Reporting on team activity, deadlines and issues

You will need the following skills and experience:
• Experience of commercial 3D packages such as XSI, Maya and 3dStudio Max, working on a variety of modelling projects involving the creation of characters, creatures, vehicles and architectural assets;
• Understanding of quality control and a keen eye for detail in all areas from artwork through to finished piece;
• Experience in managing small creative teams and large projects;
• A good fundamental knowledge and ability in 3D, including modelling, animation, texturing, lighting, rendering, in any software;
• Ability and flair for working within tight limitations, • Ability to be able to pick up new tools quickly and to think creatively when problem solving;
• Positive communicator with the ability to work with staff from all areas of the company;
• Energetic, enthusiastic, self-motivated with a strong work ethic and high level of initiative.
