Job Description	A well established games development studio with a background in working on genres as diverse as flight simulation, car racing, retro gaming, and arcade coin-op is currently going through a period of expansion. Having recently completed a Wii racing title, the team is now going to focus on character based games with an emphasis on gameplay. The studio is working on a number of titles for most popular console / handheld gaming platforms and is looking for an experienced animator to establish a new department and set the animation style for an upcoming project. As a senior / lead animator, you will play a key role in leading the animation work on a new Wii title. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a compact team on new IP; you will have the opportunity to have a big impact on this and future projects. The successful candidate will have a ‘hands on’ role overseeing the animation for the entire project from prototype to final game, working alongside the existing art team to give a coherent art style. Required experience and skills: * Proven industry experience; * Strong artistic flare, with excellent 2D and 3D skills; * Modelling, rigging and animation with an sound understanding of anatomy; * Experience of setting up in-game animations as well as intro/cut scene sequences; * Excellent knowledge of Photoshop and Maya/Max; * Excellent time management and organizational abilities; * Experience of team management, with excellent verbal and written communication skills The following would be seen as advantageous: * Any knowledge of particle effects and special effects; * Experience of dealing with outsource and freelance developers In return for your commitment you can expect an excellent package, as well as the opportunity to develop your skills and further your career.
