Job Description My Client, based in the North East, has an excellent reputation for producing highly successful games over nearly 20 years. They are now owned by a major international publisher and are looking to expand their teams working on titles for next gen consoles.

The Character Artist is responsible for the creation of in-game character art assets. All artwork must be completed to the required standard and style set out by the Art Director and the Lead Character Artist. The Character Artist will report directly to the Lead Character Artist.

Requirements:
Candidates are required to demonstrate strong artistic and creative skills in modelling, texturing and skinning in-game characters. Proven aesthetic and technical skills are expected - particularly the ability to create realistic human anatomy, faces and clothing. A good knowledge of 3DS Max and Photoshop are required while knowledge of Maya and Zbrush are advantageous. Initiative, problem-solving and good communications skills are required. He/She needs to work within the restrictions imposed by the platform(s), programmers and Lead Character Artist. He/She must be pro-active in the solving of artistic and technical problems, highly motivated and work well within a team.
