|Job Description||Aardvark Swift now have the pleasure of partnering with an international celebrity artwork licensing campaign called Whatever It Takes who are now looking for a Global Licensing Brand Director based in Dubai. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the successful candidate who is looking for the next challenge in their career and wants to be a part of something different.
Whatever It Takes is a programme that sells donated artworks and messages of hope for the future from celebrities across film, television, music, fashion and sport to raise funds for key development issues across the globe.
•Manage, coordinate, train and develop a network of licensing agencies, 4 at present, and a rapidly expanding portfolio of international distributors, licensees, and master licensees, 28 at present, across a wide range of product categories
•Co-ordinate range development and manage the product approval process (also facilitating ethical / sustainable product development, with the support of the charity’s eco & ethical specialist consultant)
•Co-ordinate trade fair & marketing activity between the charity, its licensing agencies, distributor, licensees, master licensees, retailers and any PR agencies
•Develop new licensing opportunities for WIT via direct new licensing agreements and sourcing and appointing new licensing agencies.
•Advise on brand strategy and development
•Advise the charity of Variation Agreements, contract extensions, and new contracts required for distributor, licensees, master licensees and licensing agencies.
•Maintain accurate contact and company registration records of master licensees’ own distributors and sub-licensees
•Maintain accurate records of the charity’s introductions for potential new business to distributor, licensees, master licensees and licensing agencies.
•Monitor, update and request all trademark registrations
Advise the charity of necessary registrations required by distributor and licensing partners; and monitor search engine websites to ensure brand names are protected in relevant fields, liaising with the charity on any concerns.
The successful candidate will be a fluent English speaker who likes to travel and for whom living and working abroad is seen as exhilarating! We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic and passionate about this unusual opportunity and who has at least 5 years experience within the Licensing industry. You will need to be a great communicator at all levels both internally and externally and have a very high attention to detail in order to be a good fit for this role. You will be a self starter who is driven to achieve goals without needing much direction, who can also work well in a team.
