Job Description Our client is one of the world's leading independent development studios for interactive entertainment. Based in Frankfurt am Main in Germany, they have additional internationally based studios, including one in the UK.

They are looking for a highly talented and creative UI Programmer to help design and implement the User Interface for an AAA next-gen game. The UI Programmer will work closely with UI artists and designers, but also with the entire development team to develop a shared vision and implement it from concept to completion.

Requirements:
• 3+ years of professional experience in the games industry
• Strong C++, software engineering and debugging skills
• Experience with Flash and ActionScript
• Experience with STL
• Knowledge of 3D math
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
• High commitment to quality, both in code and user experience
• Willing to relocate to Frankfurt/Main, Germany.

Preferences:
• Worked on shipped AAA titles in a UI related role
• Experience with console development
• Experience with multi-threading
• Experience with scripting languages
• Experience with ScaleForm

Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain and optimize the game UI to work efficiently on the supported platforms.
• Write clear, maintainable and portable code; continue to enhance programming, technical and communication skills.
• Document source code, and write technical and software design documents.
• Coordinate with members of R&D and other studio projects, including art and production in order to meet the project objectives and improve project quality.
• Complete tasks in a timely manner and to a consistent high quality standard.
• Willing to accept and provide guidance and assistance when required, work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
• Take initiative and contribute innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of engine and game production and development.
• Demonstrate ownership and responsibility, and a desire to learn and grow professionally.
