Located on the East Coast of Canada, my client has developed over 25 titles across a myriad of platforms. Having worked with all major current-gen consoles (Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Nintendo Wii) as well as motion gaming with Kinect and PS3 Move. Their future points toward development on the coming wave of next-gen platforms.
They are now looking for a IT Support Specialist to join their team.
Overview of the job:
The IT Support Specialist will provide support to the IT Manager. Tasks will include installing software and hardware, and performing diagnosis, maintenance and upgrades on all PC hardware and equipment to ensure optimal workstation performance.
Provide support to IT Manager
Coordinate with Directors, Producers and Management to understand company and game IT requirements.
Set-up, configuration and management of new, replacement workstations and laptops.
Thorough documentation of all problems and requests into ticketing system, including full details of issue/request, steps taken (including all successful and unsuccessful outcomes) and interactions with end-users.
Day-to-day management of security access system, including daily card swipe reports, weekend access requests, and new / replacement / cancelled security cards
Basic support and maintenance of Multi-function and regular printers, including ensuring management of spare supplies and quarterly meter reads, and escalation to vendor as needed.
Basic server-side support duties (such as monitoring of anti-virus, backups and archiving, centralized Windows Updates, folder permission requests, basic Active Directory management) as assigned.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant IT support experience
Diploma in Computer Support or related IT field
Ability to prioritize requests to maintain efficiency
Experience with tracking and logging calls and using a ticketing process/system
Experience in servers and network architecture
Experience in enterprise-level game development projects such as Perforce, VMware, Autodesk, is a plus
