Job Description Localization Manager

Our client is seeking a Localization Manager who is passionate about delivering a high-quality local experience for their games. You will take the lead and responsibility in making sure that the company is strong in local markets – that it walks and talks the local language.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the processes and resources for localizing game content to ensuring success in the global marketplace.
• Initiate localization and translation efforts for products, including website, email communication, marketing materials etc.
• Take ownership of all localization projects.
• Liaise with your counterparts for products, marketing and development to ensure smooth release cycles.
• Leading co-operation and automation of localization related processes, targeting maximum efficiency.
• Prioritization of numerous and diverse tasks and projects.

Requirements:

• Strong project management skills
• Bachelor's degree required - ideal subjects of study: language, localization or translation, computer science.
• Understanding of local market requirements
• Experience in localization tools, processes and content management
• A passion for language, high energy and positive attitude
• Excellent written communication skills
• Proficient in Chinese and English, knowledge of Japanese is a huge advantage
• Experience in web and desktop applications is a plus
• Strong international background and experience from different cultures is a major advantage
