Our client is seeking an Art Director to lead, mentor, supervise and inspire the art team in creating social/casual games. You will be responsible for the quality of art incorporated in the games produced under your supervision. You will have a background in fine arts, and be very creative as you will often be required to visualize how a particular section of a game would look once it is finished.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the art direction of the games in its pre-production stages and create characters and backgrounds
• Establish style and implement vision of the games; character, environment, logo, user interface design
• Maintain effective communication with supervisors, team artists and other departments within the company to manage expectations and results, and ensure all project targets are met or exceeded

Required Skills / Experience:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in fine arts is essential
• 4-6 years art director/lead artist experience
• Proven management skills
• Your graphic style can fit into cute / casual / social / cartoony concept arts
• Strong, proven knowledge and skills in fonts, graphic design principles, user interface function and design
• Superior eye for light, value, composition, colour, staging
• Your organizational and interpersonal skills enable you to deliver quality projects under strict deadlines.
• You have a good level of written and spoken English.
• A good understanding of architectural principles and knowledge of anatomy
• Additional art / multimedia qualifications a plus.
• You are highly motivated, with a deep passion for video games
