Our client, a global outsourcing company whose own clients include all the major video games developers, is looking for an experienced Art Director to lead their Concept Art team in Shanghai.

Responsibilities:
• Define vision of the game, and make sure the vision is received and understood by the team
• Organize and manage concept artists to ensure consistency and high quality of the work created
• Set forth technical guidelines and content creation guide
• Be up to date on the latest technologies and trends related to concept art for games

Required Skills / Experience:
• 5+ years experience in games production or related field, with experience in leading and managing a team of artists
• English and Mandarin language proficiency
• Degree in formal traditional art training
• Leadership qualities and the ability to mentor and guide a team
• Expert user of Photoshop, Illustrator, Painter and other advanced painting tools
• Expert understanding of composition and colour
• A strong sense of vision for conceptual art
• Creative, adaptable and flexible art style with attention to aesthetic detail
• Ability to work in realistic, futuristic, and fantasy genres
• Expert understanding of and enthusiasm for all aspects of conceptual art, including visual design and illustration
• Strong management and production abilities
• Detail oriented, organized and able to meet project requirements
• Knowledge of game production processes
• Ability to provide feedback and quality control to artists
• Experience creating concept though rapid-iteration of drawings and paintings
• Strong problem solving skills and the ability to produce with minimal supervision
• Ability to communicate clearly and produce workflow documentation
