Job Description Senior Games Programmer

As a Senior Games Programmer you will be responsible for technically leading a team to create exciting and unique first party content. You will work alongside the Producer to create a new generation of games that can be played instantly online. You will have the opportunity to create new IPs and also re-leverage external IPs onto the revolutionary web platform.

All programmers are expected to have excellent analytical abilities, and demonstrate a strong sense of product ownership, with a passion for technical excellence. We are looking for programmers who are proactive, vocal and passionate about contributing to all areas of the technology.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for production and execution of technical plan.
• Preparing and monitoring of task schedules for programming team.
• Management of a team of programmers to lead the day to day efforts on bringing existing IPs to the new browser platform.
• Ensure good communication & coordination between the programming and other parts of the company (Business Development, SDK Developer Support, Management)
• Liaise with external stakeholders (e.g. IP owners) as required.
• Identify and review task risks, recommend and help implement mitigation and contingencies.

Skills and Experience:

• B.S. in Computing, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or related technical degree.
• Fluency in C++ and one of more of the following would be a plus: Python, JavaScript, Lua.
• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in the game industry.
• Experience in the full development cycle of at least 2 published titles as a senior developer.
• Knowledge of game technologies: OpenGL, DirectX, Havok, PhysX, Bullet, OpenCL or native console SDKs all a plus.
• Knowledge of game tools: Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, and Softimage all a plus.
• Knowledge of concurrency and multi-core development a plus.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to motivate and mobilize a team.
• Passion for playing games a plus.
