Our client is seeking a Technical Director to lead the development of browser-based games.

Responsibilities:

• Effectively communicate the core technical design and experience to the rest of the internal organization.
• Help ensure that the product leverages the ideas and resources of the design.
• Project manage all technical facets of the online game as a live service.
• Manage and assist external developers in succeeding.
• Help evaluate, as part of due diligence, technical capabilities of prospective partners.
• Problem solve.
• Review and critique developers work.
• Identify project risks and communicate them promptly and effectively with proposed solutions.
• Create best practices and technical documents.

Required skills:

• 5+ years software development experience within the games industry.
• Online and/or social games experience a strong plus.
• 2+ years as a Technical Director or Lead Programmer or Team Leader of games development.
• Architectural expertise.
• Project management experience.
• 1+ AAA social/MMO games titles preferred, including launch and live execution.
• Strong in Unity3d engine and/or AAA game engines.
• Strong understanding of backend/online infrastructure as it relates to social/casual games.
• Working knowledge of upcoming technologies such as Flash 3D, HTML 5 IOS, Android, etc.
• Ability to effectively problem solve.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• English mandatory, Chinese a strong plus.
• Ability to work in a team environment with maturity and leadership.
• Experience in C#, .NET, ASP.NET.
