Xbox Live opens Community Channel to new regions

Microsoft has announced that it will open up the new Xbox Live Community Games Channel to developers in Singapore, Australia and New Zealand on December 15.

The Community Games Channel launched with the console's New Xbox Experience last week and allows members of XNA's creators club to create, publish and potentially earn money from their creations on Xbox Live.

"If our annual Dream-Build-Play competition taught us one thing, it is that there is such a wealth of creativity and imagination in this region, and all over the world, that should be shared with millions," said XNA general manager Boyd Multerer.

"Now even more developers can participate in what we expect to be a worldwide movement to truly democratise game development."
