Wrapstar/AFA deal

Press Release PROVIDED BY GAMES PRESS

- Wrapstar and AFA Interactive have signed a deal to distribute skins in Australia and New Zealand.

AFA Interactive is a leading independent software and peripheral distributor in Australia and is widely recognised as being one of the fastest growing companies in the field. AFA has distributed for well-known publishing brands and manufacturers such as D3, Nyko, Tech21 and Dreamgear.

Wrapstar have experienced rapid growth throughout the past 18 months with their range of high quality, cast-vinyl skins for gaming hardware, iPods and mobile phones. Available in the UK and Europe and in places as diverse as Serbia and Slovenia, Wrapstar have signed numerous license deals with the likes of The Rugby Football Union (RFU,) Brit Chicks, with many more in the pipeline.

2008 has also seen Wrapstar launch hundreds of new designs and created sought-after skins for Nintendo Wii Nunchuk and Remote as well as teaming up with publishing companies to promote new titles such as MySIMs and Arthur and The Invisibles.

Having worked together on the successful Ben 10 skins promotion down under, the deal between Wrapstar and AFA is a natural and exciting progression.

Wrapstar managing director Max Haddow says, “ AFA Interactive is a similar company to Wrapstar in that it’s growing and dynamic and we are very pleased to be working with them to bring our skins to a wider range of retailers throughout Australia and New Zealand.”

In particular, AFA Interactive will focus on publicising Wrapstar’s Promotional skins model to retailers down under and educating them on the benefits of providing consumers with exclusive bundle deals, pre-order campaigns and add-ons for new software and hardware.

AFA Interactive Director Robert Alford says, “Both our companies are very young, but growth has been very exciting and significant. Wrapstar products fit very well with our range of software and accessories. Gamers want to personalise their hardware, and with Wrapstar’s range and diversification of designs, we can provide every possible solution.”

Wrapstar will also release various new designs available exclusively for Australian consumers.
