Vrabeck to head-up games for Legendary Pictures?

Former boss of EA's casual label in the running to lead movie financier's videogames business

Former head of EA's casual label, Kathy Vrabeck, has supposedly been approached by Legendary Pictures and is in negotiations to take up a post with the private equity financier.

According to Variety, if hired, Vrabeck will be responsible for overseeing the company's business in videogames and broader digital entertainment.

This follows rumours that the financier behind the Dark Knight and 300 is interested in acquiring Epic Games, with the view to making a Gears of War movie, as reported last October.

Last year, EA closed down its casual label, shifting operations to The Sims' head Rod Humble, resulting in Vrabeck's departure.
