Valve teams up with AMD to offer free Steam games

New deal available now

Hardware specialist AMD has signed a new agreement with Valve that will see free games being offered to owners of Radeon graphics cards via digital download service Steam.

When Radeon owners sign up for a Steam account on Steampowered.com, the presence of the card will be automatically detected. They will then be able to access free copies of Half-Life 2: Lost Coast and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch.

In addition, Valve has announced that Steam will come bundled with Radeon products through to early next year.
