Undertow free on XBLA next week
"Thank you" to Live members for loyalty
Microsoft has announced that all Xbox Live members worldwide will be able to download Undertow free of charge on January 23.
Following a period of Xbox Live connectivity problems during the holidays, the company announced that all Live members would soon be receiving a free game - not as compensation for the problems, but as a "thank you" for their loyalty.
At the time, it was uncertain whether members would be able to pick a game of their own choosing or if Microsoft would choose the game for them. The choice has now been made.
Undertow, an aquatic shooter, is rated E10+ and is normally sold for 800 Microsoft points.
There was no word if Microsoft intends to refund points to those Xbox Live members who have already purchased the game.
