Ubisoft to host consumer music and gaming event

Fuse '06 brings together GRAW comp and punk record label in Newbury

Ubisoft is to host Fuse '06, a consumer event bringing together multiplayer gaming and live music.

Taking place as part of Multiplay's i29 LAN party, Fuse '06 will also offer consumers the chance to play Rainbow Six Vegas and Splinter Cell Double Agent before the official release, as well as providing music from label Visible Noise Records.

"The cross over between games and music is an obvious one," said Phil Brannelly, senior product manager at Ubisoft.

"We simply wanted to do something exciting and fun for the gaming community whilst promoting the Tom Clancy franchise and extending it to a wider audience," he said.

Fuse '06 will take place at Newbury Racecourse on November 10th 2006.

"GamesIndustry.biz is one of my starting tabs when I boot up... so it's always one of the first sites I see each day. It's good being able to catch up with what's happened in the US overnight, and in the UK before I'm awake first thing, and know that the stories will be accurate and thought out."
