Ubisoft not interested in SCi acquisition

Lara Croft company too expensive for French publisher

Ubisoft has quashed speculation that it is behind a bid to buy Eidos parent company SCi Entertainment.

SCi said last month that it was in preliminary talks with a number of suitors, with investors suggesting that Time Warner, Ubisoft and another unnamed company were behind bids.

"Ubisoft has no intention of making an offer for SCi — Eidos," said a spokesperson for the company, reports Reuters.

According to the report, the spokesperson said that the company is too expensive.

"We are looking at other opportunities for external and internal growth which can create more potential value for shareholders," said Ubisoft.
