Ubisoft first quarter sales up 90.5 per cent

Exceeds forecast by 14 million

Ubisoft has reported 134 million Euro sales for the first quarter of 2007-08, up 90.5 per cent from the same period in 2006-07.

Sales exceeded the forecast of approximately 120 million Euro.

"Ubisoft has made a solid start to the year, and continued to win market share," said CEO Yves Guillemot. "Momentum was particularly strong during the period for European sales, which climbed 109 per cent thanks to the ramp-up of new-generation consoles and the impact of PS3 game sales, including Rainbow Six Vegas and Oblivion."

For the second quarter, Ubisoft expects sales to remain stable at approximately 105 million Euro.

Splinter Cell Conviction, originally scheduled for a third quarter release, has been pushed into the fourth quarter. Far Cry 2 will also be released during the fourth quarter.
