Edward L Kaufman joins publisher following roles with WWE and Hanna-Barbera

THQ has appointed former WWE exec Edward L Kaufman as executive vice president of business and legal affairs, and corporate secretary, the publisher has announced.

Kaufman has served for over 15 years in senior legal management roles with the WWE and, prior to that Hanna-Barbera, working for the former since 1997.

Prior to his stint as director of business and legal affairs with Hanna-Barbera, he worked for NBC.

"We are pleased to strengthen our management team with an experienced general counsel who has spent many years in the media and entertainment business," said Brian Farrell, THQ's president and CEO.

Kaufman added, "I am impressed with THQ's strong turnaround and am excited to join the team as the company moves forward with its new more focused strategic plan. I look forward to helping THQ capitalise on the opportunities for growth in the interactive entertainment industry."
