THQ and Player One enter distribution deal

THQ has announced a long-term exclusive agreement with Player One, a UK-based sports games publisher, over the rights to distribute its mobile games worldwide.

Under the deal, THQ Wireless, a subsidiary of THQ, will also extend its catalogue of mobile games with a range of sports titles, including: Pool Star - Atlantic City, Phil Taylor's Power Darts 2008 and Poker million - The Masters, among others.

"Working with THQ Wireless' top-tier global distribution expertise represents a significant opportunity to grow the mobile audience for Player One Sports' games," commented Pete Russell, Player One's managing director.

Adam Comiskey, vice-president of THQ Wireless added, "Player One Sports' games on mobile have always been critically acclaimed and equally loved by mobile consumers everywhere. THQ Wireless is delighted to be able to offer this exceptional portfolio of unique games to carriers worldwide."
