TKE hopes to become major publisher in European region

Tecmo and Koei have announced the formation of Tecmo Koei Europe, as the two Japanese publishers come together in the region.

TKE's first title released in the region will be Ninja Gaiden Sigma for the PlayStation 3, the latest remake in the hardcore fighting series developed by Team Ninja.

"This is a momentous occasion for both Koei and Tecmo," offered Will Curley, VP of sales and marketing in the region. "With some great quality titles coming from both sides TKE will quickly become one of the major players in the videogames industry."

Games in the Tecmo Koei Europe portfolio include Undead Knights for PSP, Quantum Theory and Trinity: Souls of Zill for the PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 and PS3 title Warriors: Legends of Troy.
