Press Release PROVIDED BY GAMES PRESS
Hello everyone! Today we are happy to offer up the demo for the second Strategic Command 2 expansion, Patton Drives East. This exciting new expansion explores the various what-if's of an alternate outcome to the events of World War 2 including how a war between Stalin's armies and the Allies would play out. The demo is 141 megabytes in size and is ready for download immediately.

This demo includes THREE turn limited (1 game year each) playable campaigns:
Multiplayer modes are disabled in the demo but the campaigns are playable against the AI as either side.
Patton Drives East allows players to explore the both the historically possible "what ifs" and alte rnate realities of World War 2 such as:
Patton Drives East (as well as Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and the Weapons and Warfare Expansion) can have severe problems with Dual Monitor displays. As such, we advise disabling a secondary monitor before launching and playing this game.
We have identified an issue with some older video cards (Radeon x800 and Radeon x850 although others might also be affected) which results in extremely slow game performance when the games resolution is set to any 32 bit co lor mode. The fix is easy, simply select 16 bit color mode for the resolution that wish from within the games "Settings" panel (ex: 1680x1050x16). You will not notice any visual differences between 16 bit and 32 bit color mode in the game at all.
While this is a DEMO and will work even if you don't have Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg installed, the full version Strategic Command 2 Patton Drives East is an expansion pack and will require the original English language Battlefront.com version of Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg to be installed and licensed on your computer in order to run! It will not work with any other version of Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg nor will it work simply by itself. Strategic Command 2 Patton Drives East does not require the Strategic Command 2 Weapons and Warfare Expansion to also be installed but will work if it is.
BATTLEFRONT.COM INTERNET BROWSER COMMUNITY TOOLBAR:
This new game demo includes the optional install of a new, and we think, exciting tool. This tool seamlessly attaches to your internet browser (currently Microsoft Internet Explorer and Firefox supported) and gives you instant access to Battlefront.com game news, patches, demos, chat channel as well as other popular browser toolbar *gadgets* such as realtime weather reports (unique to your hometown!), a spell checker and pop-up blocker. Fully user configurable and expandable, your new Battlefront.com Community toolbar unlocks the full potential of your internet browser to keep you connected with the ever-growing world of Battlefront.com games and resources! You can find more details on this new free utility here: http://www.battlefront-store.com:8080//...Itemid=212
