Japanese publisher Square-Enix has announced that CEO Youichi Wada is to take over the top job at Taito, following the publisher's successful takeover bid last September.

Japanese publisher Square-Enix has announced that CEO Youichi Wada is to take over the top job at Taito, following the publisher's successful takeover bid last September.

According to a report by Japanese news site Impress Watch, partially translated by GameSpot, Wada will replace Yasuo Nishigaki as CEO.

Wada, who is also the chairman of Taito's board of directors, will continue to fulfill his duties as Square-Enix CEO alongside his new role. According to Impress Watch, he is set to develop Taito's arcade assets in the areas of network play and online community building.
