Doublesix wins at Develop Awards and confirms development of “South Park” for Microsoft Games

Doublesix won Best New UK/European Studio at the Develop Awards last week – reaffirming their status as leaders and innovators in digitally distributed game development.

Studio Head James Brooksby says, “We have a great new studio here at doublesix: fantastic people, exciting projects, a good atmosphere, some amazing ideas and best of all; it’s fun to work here!”

Doublesix is also pleased to announce that it is the developer of ‘South Park’ for Xbox Live Arcade as recently announced by publisher Microsoft at E3 last month. South Park is scheduled for release in 2009.

James Brooksby added, “We are incredibly pleased to be working with Microsoft Game Studios and South Park Digital Studios on this fantastic game. We have a high calibre team working (and laughing) away here and they can’t wait to let loose their creation on an unsuspecting world…”

Doublesix is an award winning video games development studio creating addictive, “have another go” games across all downloadable formats: XBLA, PSN, Wii-Ware, PC and now PSP and iPhone/iTouch.
