Slitherine inks Koch distribution deal

German-based company to send out six titles across PAL regions

Koch Media has announced that it has concluded a distribution deal with developer Slitherine that will see it handle the sales of six titles across a number of PAL territories.

The games themselves will span the PC, DS, Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3 platforms and include a number of Slitherine brands, among them the History, Military History and Horrible Histories franchises - plus a title that comes under its agreement with the BBC.

"In Slitherine, we gained a valuable partner with reputed brands and licenses," said Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media. "We are happy that we get to distribute these attractive, entertaining games with historical contents exclusively in the designated countries."

Thos countries include Germany, Austria, Switzerland (including French and Italian versions), Scandinavia, Spain, the Benelux countries, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

Marco Minoli, marketing director at Slitherine, added: "As a UK developer we had already worked extensively with Koch over the years. Now that we have transitioned into publishing they were our distribution partner of choice and a natural fit. We are very pleased to be working with them on our 2009 line up."
