Sierra's Aliens encounter

Publisher bags license for game of upcoming Aliens/Predator movie

Sierra Entertainment has signed a deal with Twentieth Century Fox allowing it to publish a game for the PlayStation Portable, based on the Aliens/Predator film which will be screening in the UK from Christmas Day this year.

Development duties for the title have been handed to Rebellion, who has some history with the license, as it formerly created the Alien vs Predator PC game.

Elie Dekel, executive vice president of Fox Licensing & Merchandising said, "Sierra Entertainment will create a game that will keep both fans of the films and avid gamers alike engaged for hours of immersive gameplay."

There is no indication yet as to whether or not the license will extend to additional platforms or further titles in the franchise.
