Senior The9 exec steps down

Lee departs Chinese online games operator

Chief financial officer and senior vice president of The9, Hannah Lee, has resigned her position as of the end of February.

The9 is one of the leading online game operators in China, and has a number of high profile partnerships with Western developers and publishers including Electronic Arts and Blizzard.

"Hannah has been with us since before The9 went public in 2004," commented Jun Zhu, chairman and CEO. "Over the year's she has played a vital role in transforming our company into a highly regarded US-listed public company with substantially improved financial reporting and internal control systems."

The publisher is currently looking for a replacement and expects to announce an acting CFO before the end of February.
