SCi sells Spanish distribution business to Koch

SCi Entertainment has sold its Spanish distribution business Proein to Koch Media.

"Selling the Proein business is in line with our declared strategy to have a lean and efficient approach to distribution to support our product focused, studio-led business model," commented Phil Rogers, CEO of SCi.

"Proein has a history of building business with Eidos and other publishers and we look forward to working with them as our distribution partner in the future."

Proein will continue to distribute Eidos games in the region, such as the forthcoming Tomb Raider: Underworld.

"With the acquisition of Proein we are furthering the expansion strategy of the Koch Media Group," added Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of Koch Media.

"The position, experience and strength of Proein in Spain perfectly complements the current structure of the Koch Media Group and reinforces our position as the premier independent player in the European market."

Gross assets of Proein as of June 30 were EUR 8.6 million.
