SCEJ unveils new Mint Green PSP

Sony continues to target female gamers with Blume models

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan has unveiled a new Mint Green PSP for its local market.

The new sku will go on sale February 28 for a recommended retail price of JPY 19,800, and is part of the Blume series aimed at female consumers which already includes blue, white, pink and silver models.

Sony's PSP continues to perform well in Japan despite strong competition from Nintendo's DS, as the company continues to push a policy of releasing limited edition skus and software bundles with popular franchises.

Sony has also offered limited edition PSP packages outside of Japan, most notably the Daxter and Star Wars: Battlefront bundles which helped the console sell 1.4 million units in the US over Christmas.
