SCEA adjusts PS Store pricing for Canadian market

As a result of the weakened US dollar, and the ability to localise pricing, SCEA has adjusted PS Store prices for Canada

SCEA has announced that, in conjunction with the weekly PlayStation Store update on May 1, the company will be adjusting the price of downloadable content for the Canadian market.

The adjustment comes as a result of the strengthening Canadian currency against the US dollar and SCEA’s ability to localise pricing within the Store.

"We are continually looking for ways to enhance the player experience on the PlayStation Network, and downloadable content through the PlayStation Store is just one of our areas of focus," said Grace Chen, senior manager for the PlayStation Store.

"We anticipate that this price adjustment will meet the expectations of our Canadian consumers and provide them with a better PlayStation Network experience."

SCEA said that it will execute the adjustments in a phased approach prior to the regularly scheduled update.
