Registration opens for Austin GDC

The organisers of the 2008 Austin Game Developers Conference have announced that registration is now open for this year's event.

2007 Austin GDC alumni will be receiving an invitation with special pricing. All attendees who register by July 31 can save up to 40 per cent on conference passes.

This year's conference will feature tracks on business and marketing, social networking and community, technology and services, online games, design, audio and writing.

New for Austin GDC 2008 is the Worlds in Motion Summit designed for those looking to bring their content and brands into interactive worlds.

The Independent Games Festival Showcase will also visit the conference to showcase innovation in development and to recognise the best indie developers. In addition, a one-day Game Career Seminar event will allow attendees to meet representatives from leading game companies.

The Austin Game Developers Conference 2008 takes place September 15-17 at the Austin Convention Center.
