Record 1.5 million sales for RedLynx

Developer confirms up to 10 new releases for 2010

Developer RedLynx finished 2009 with 1.5 million games sold, making it a record year for the company.

The sales were across its Trials HD, Monster Trucks Nitro and DrawRace games for three formats, and were up from the 150,000 copies of Trials 2 SE it sold on PC in 2008.

"After that release, we started to focus more heavily on developing and publishing our multiplatform games on digital channels, significantly increasing sales. Obviously, that strategy has worked well," offered Tero Virtala, CEO of RedLynx.

RedLynx supports its paid for digital games with free online versions, and in 2009 over 5000 websites hosted promotional games, clocking up 100 million plays between them.

The company plans between 8 and 10 releases for 2010. "We have experienced teams, strong partners, and a unique development model that lets us significantly expand our offerings while keeping the extremely high quality for which our games are known," added Virtala.
