Q1 profits hit $27m for Square Enix

Final Fantasy house Square Enix has reported first quarter profits of JPY 2.88 billion (USD 26.6m), compared to 2.73 billion (USD 25.3m) the previous year.

Despite the rise in profits, sales were down for the period over 9 per cent to 29.77 billion (USD 275.3m).

The company most recently announced a collaboration with Microsoft to bring its much-loved Final Fantasy series to the Xbox 360 in the US and Europe.
