TGS: PSP direct Store access to go live next week
Sony will be giving Japanese PSP owners direct access to to the PlayStation Store from October 15, the company has confirmed.
The service will allow games and other content to be downloaded via the PSP, rather than the current set up through the PlayStation 3 or PC.
The confirmation came from a Sony business briefing held ahead of the Tokyo Game Show yesterday, according to IGN, and follows talk of the online shopping service from September.
PSP owners will also be able to launch ad hoc multiplayer games by connecting to PSN via the PS3 from October 30. Regional favourite Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G will be among the first of the games to take advantage of this.
No dates for such a service have yet been announced for Europe or North America.
