PS3 finally gets Grand Theft Auto episodes

Fri 29 Jan 2010 8:22am GMT / 3:22am EST / 12:22am PST

Game comes to PS3 and PC at end of March

Rockstar Games is to release Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City on PlayStation 3 and PC at the end of March.

The title - which contains the two episodes The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony - has been available on Xbox 360 since October, but Rockstar hadn't confirmed when it would be coming to the rival formats.

On both formats, Episodes from Liberty City will be made available on a single disc, or the two episodes will be downloadable individually via PlayStation Network and Games for Windows. All will share the same release date of March 30.

"It's been a long time coming, but we are proud to finally deliver Episodes From Liberty City for the PC and PlayStation 3," said Sam Houser. "We appreciate the patience of our PlayStation 3 and PC fans worldwide, and we look forward to putting the games in your hands this March."

I can only imagine how the long wait for the DLC will effect the sales. PS3 seems to always get the short end of the stick in these types of multi-platform situations.
