Poor US sales see revenues drop for Infogrames
Test Drive, Neverwinter Nights and BDZ strongest performers
A sharp decline in US sales for the second half of the financial year has seen Infogrames revenues slide by 16.7 per cent to EUR 304.5 million, for the year ended March 31.
The struggling parent company of publisher Atari highlighted that US sales were down from 43 per cent to 30 per cent, with Asian sales dropping marginally from 9 per cent to 8 per cent.
European sales accounted for 62 per cent, up from 48 per cent the previous year.
The most successful titles for the company were Test Drive Unlimited and Neverwinter Nights 2, along with sales in the Dragon Ball Z franchise.
Revenue for the fourth quarter was EUR 82.6 million, with 79 per cent of sales attributed to the European and Asian markets, and 21 per cent in North America.
The company has a number of titles due for release in its first quarter of 2007, including Hot Pixel for PSP, Trioncube for the DS and Armed Assault for PC.
