PlayStation Network grows to 3.2m users

Sony has revealed that the PS3s PlayStation Network now has over 3.2 million registered users, who between them have downloaded over 57 million items.

Back in January, the figures stood at 2.9 million registered users and 52 million pieces of content.

During Sony's PlayStation Day in London yesterday, the company also revealed that on average players of SingStar on PS3 are buying 6.3 songs via the PlayStation Store.

Resistance: Fall of Man has over 1.4 million users playing online, with the sequel looking to capitalise on online play as developer Insomniac overhauls MyResistance.net and adds social networking features to the site.

Sony also said that launch title Motorstorm has sold over 3 million units.
