Pixel-Lab details London Games Festival Fringe event
Pixel-Lab has detailed its Playful: Game Design London event for this year's London Games Festival Fringe.
Taking place October 31, the event intends to provoke lively debate on the nature of games, what they mean to people inside and outside of the industry and the future of game design.
"Playful provides a unique foundation to look at ways we can all push the boundaries of game design and interactive storytelling, and we are really excited to be supporting this event as part of the London Games Festival Fringe," offered Rob Cooper, MD of Ubisoft Europe.
Speakers confirmed for the event include Introversion's Chris Delay, Iain Tate of design agency Poke, Jolyon Webb of Blitz Games and Tanya Krzywinska of Brunel University.
"We're really pleased to have such a wide range of people coming who are all so passionate about games and their important cultural role," said Pixel-Lab's Toby Barnes.
"They have all got their own things to show that will entertain and inspire those who attend, and also light the way for future discussions on the important role of Game Design and play in a range of disciplines."
