Peter Molyneux to lecture GDC 09

Lionhead chief to be joined by Harmonix, Ubisoft and Bungie execs

Next year's GDC 09 event in San Francisco will feature a lecture from Lionhead studio boss Peter Molyneux in a session called "Lionhead Experiments Revealed".

He'll be talking as part of the Game Design track, and others announced for that track include Dan Teasdale from Harmonix on Rock Band and Jonathan Morin from Ubisoft looking at Far Cry 2's level design.

Among the highlights of the Production track will be Maxis' Caryl Shaw talking about Spore and Bungie's Allen Murray on general production issues, while Albert and Bill Reed from Demiurge will present a talk entitled "Stability in Stormy Weather" in the Business & Management track.

Conference organiser Think Services has also issued a reminder that the 45 per cent alumni discount is about to expire, and that registrations need to be in by midnight on December 18 PDT to take advantage of that.

GDC 09 will take place in the Moscone Center, San Francisco, across March 23-27, and GamesIndustry.biz Network members can add the event to their 2009 itinerary now.
