Game design veteran Ken Rolston has joined Big Huge Games and is currently working on an as yet unannounced role-playing game for home consoles.
Rolston previously worked on Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind for Bethesda, and Xbox 360 smash hit Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
"Ken's addition marks a bold new direction for Big Huge Games," said company president Tim Train.
"We've explored developing a role-playing game for several years now. Ken is a fantastic fit for us on every level, and gives us the leadership we need to be confident of success in our new venture," he added.
Train commented that the company still intends to continue development of real-time strategy titles, such as PC hit Rise of Legends and Xbox Live Arcade RTS Catan.
