Nvidia signs up for Nordic Game

Processor producer to be primary sponsor

Graphics processor specialist Nvidia has signed up to be a primary sponsor for this year's Nordic Game conference, which will take place in Malmö, Sweden next month.

Founded in 1993, Nvidia now has more than 4000 employees worldwide and offers a wide range of products for computers, consumer electronics and mobile devices. Brands include GeForce, GoForce, Quadro and nForce.

"With the latest round of 'next-gen' consoles already a familiar fixture in the marketplace, itâs up to the PC as usual to provide the next ânext generationâ gaming experience," said Darryl Still, director of content management for Nvidia EMEAI.

"Nvidia is working closely with games studios to realise this ambition, and weâre finding that our search for the most exciting, innovative talent keeps leading us back to the Nordic territories. Thatâs why weâre delighted to be a main sponsor of the Nordic Game event - weâre looking forward to sharing our time in Malmö with many of the most inspirational and creative people in the games industry."

Tom Felices, project manager for Nordic Game, commented, "Having NVIDIA on board as a primary sponsor is a great privilege for us and a recognition of our conference and its rising status as one of the key industry events in Europe."

Nordic Game will take place from May 15 - 16. More than 40 speakers have already signed up, including developers behind Guitar Hero, SingStar, Eve Online and Battlefield.

GamesIndustry.biz is the world's most read and influential games industry website. But don't just take our word for it!

"GamesIndustry.biz is one of my starting tabs when I boot up... so it's always one of the first sites I see each day. It's good being able to catch up with what's happened in the US overnight, and in the UK before I'm awake first thing, and know that the stories will be accurate and thought out."
