Capcom has declared that Xbox 360 exclusive Dead Rising will arrive in Europe uncut, despite its recent rejection by Germany's videogames rating board.

Capcom has declared that Xbox 360 exclusive Dead Rising will arrive in Europe uncut, despite its recent rejection by Germany's videogames rating board.

The game's violence "has been completely preserved for European audiences," a spokesperson told our sister-site Eurogamer.net today.

"No cuts have been made to the PAL version."

Interest in the game's European fate was boosted by bitter memories of what happened to Microsoft's Xbox exclusive action title Ninja Gaiden, from which certain animations were cut ahead of its European release in early 2005.

These were compounded by concern over the game's fate in Germany, where it has been rejected by the local videogames ratings board, though not banned outright.

Dead Rising was released yesterday in the USA to strong reviews, and will be released in Europe on September 8th according to Capcom's current estimates.
