Nintendo dominates Japanese software charts
Nintendo formats have dominated the Japanese software sales charts for the week ended May 11, assuming nine out of the top ten spots, according to figures from Media Create.
Mario Kart Wii tops the chart with 107,000 units sold, bringing the total number of units sold in Japan to date to 1,227,000.
Capcom's Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G is the second highest seller for the week, selling 82,000 units and is the only non-Nintendo title in the top ten.
Wii Fit, Links Bowgun Training for the Wii, and Bandai Namco's Meccha! Taiko Drum Master DS are in third, fourth and fifth places respectively.
DS title Pokemon Ranger Batonage! comes in sixth with Hudson's Wii title Deca Sports coming in seventh.
Wii Sports is a close eight selling 21,000 titles this week, making it the it the highest selling title currently in the top ten with 2,979,000 units sold to date.
Nintendo's own We're Fossil Diggers for the DS comes in at number nine and rounding out the top ten, selling 16,000 units, is Super Smash Bros Brawl for the Wii.
