Nintendo confirms Wii launch line-up for US
32 retail titles and 30 for Virtual Console by year end
Nintendo of America has confirmed the titles due for the US launch window of its new Wii console, with 32 retail games due to arrive by the end of December.
The format holder has also unveiled its first 30 retro titles for the Virtual Console service, supporting favourites from platforms such as Super Nintendo and Mega Drive, also due before the end of the year.
The new Wii game list brings confirmation that titles like Metal Slug Anthology and Call of Duty 3 will join first party titles including The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Wii Sports, Wii Play and ExciteTruck.
Nintendo has previously said to expect around 15 titles on launch day.
Meanwhile, Virtual Console offerings will include Super Mario 64 (N64), F-Zero (SNES), Sonic the Hedgehog (Megadrive) and a raft of titles for both NES and TurboGrafx-16.
Virtual Console games will be sold for Wii Points - with NES games costing 500, SNES games 800 and N64 games 1000.
