New Sierra titles coming to Xbox Live Arcade

Sierra Online has announced three upcoming titles which will be released for Xbox Live Arcade.

Switchball, a physics-based puzzle game, is due on Xbox Live Arcade late in the summer. Commanders: Attack!, a turn-based battle game, and Battlestar Galactica, based upon the Sci-Fi Channel television series, will both be available this autumn.

David Haddad, senior vice president of Sierra Online, told GamesIndustry.biz that the company is "very excited" about the Xbox Live Arcade platform.

"We appreciate the opportunity to create original IP in the space, as we did with Assault Heroes, as well as the opportunity to reinvent catalog titles such as with 3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures," Haddad said.

Sierra Online is a division of Vivendi whose focus is on the digital distribution of cross-platform titles. When asked if Sierra Online had any plans to offer similar content for the PlayStation Network, Haddad answered in the affirmative but would not share any further details.
