SCE demonstrated a PSP television tuner at the PlayStation Premiere 2007 press conference in Japan.

The tuner, which requires 1seg digital broadcast signals, will work only in Japan, and only with the new slim model PSP. Both will be released on September 20. As previously reported, the new Japanese PSP will be available in three additional colors: rose pink, lavender purple, and felicia blue.

The retail price of the television tuner will be 6,980 Yen, or USD 57. There was no immediate word on plans for a similar tuner in North America or Europe.
