Mobile Choice Consumer Awards

Press Release PROVIDED BY GAMES PRESS

Last night saw EA Mobile’s Tetris Pop take the public vote to win Game of the Year at the Mobile Choice Consumer Awards. The award is the second time EA Mobile has been recognised recently - just last week the company won Best Games Publisher of the Year at the annual Mobile Entertainment Awards.

According to the judges of the Mobile Choice Consumer Awards: “EA Mobile could have been forgiven for resting on its laurels and counting the (considerable) proceeds of selling the original Tetris for mobile. Tetris Pop is proof that EA Mobile didn't take that lazy approach. The game takes the famous Tetris formula and splits it up into a series of mini games, each with its own focussed challenge. It’s a great way to introduce Tetris to a new audience, and reawaken the enthusiasm of existing fans. More importantly, it’s superbly playable, and enormously addictive, and is truly the mobile game of the year.”

With last week’s award voted for by the industry, and the Mobile Choice Award by game players themselves the team at EA Mobile is delighted to have received recognition for all their hard work. If you’d like more info on either award win or pictures of Tetris Pop, let me know!
