MGS4 tops European charts

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the PlayStation 3 has taken the top spot in both the Spanish and German software sales charts for the week ended June 22, according to figures from Media-Control GfK International.

The charts further share Square-Enix's Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core for the PSP at number three for both countries.

Grand Theft Auto IV for the PS3 comes in fourth in the Spanish chart and is followed by Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit also for the PS3 and Mario Kart Wii at fifth and sixth places respectively. Super Mario Galaxy for the Wii comes in at nine and Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 closes the Spanish chart at ten.

The German chart sees GTA IV for the PS3 take fifth place, while Nintendo titles dominate the latter part of the chart with Mario Kart DS at eighth, Mario Party DS at ninth and Wii Play at tenth place.
