Majesco and Vivendi to continue publishing partnership

Continuation of a beautiful friendship as VUG set to publish 15 Majesco SKUs

Publisher Majesco has announced that it is to continue its distribution agreement with Vivendi Universal Games into 2004/05, in a deal which will see VUG publishing 15 Majesco SKUs across multiple different platforms in Europe.

The deal, which could represent over $40 million of sales value, covers a variety of titles including a sequel to the Xbox action adventure BloodRayne, and two new titles unveiled by Majesco at E3 - Black9 and Advent Rising.

"We are extremely pleased to be able to continue our successful working relationship with Majesco," said Vivendi Universal Games president and COO Christophe Ramboz. "This relationship has been founded on hard work and great products, both of which will still be evident going forward."

According to Majesco, there were a number of other publishers actively pursuing the rights to distribute the company's software line-up, with Vivendi chosen after months of negotiations.

"We are absolutely delighted to be able to announce this continuation to our excellent working relationship with VUG," commented Majesco Europe managing director Chris Meredith, "who has continually proven its excellence in the publishing field. We have a stellar line-up of products and this continued strategic partnership reinforces both parties commitment to launching top quality titles into the European marketplace."

Majesco also claims to be keen to develop further relationships with European developers, and is actively seeking new products to introduce to European markets.
